The NBT team completed a series of site visits to the Indorama Agro LLC (IAL) facilities in Kashkadarya and Syrdarya provinces. Within the framework of the “LABOUR & WORKING CONDITIONS ASSESSMENT” financed by The International Financial Corporation (IFC) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), our team assessed the working conditions at the factories, reviewed the labor documentation and visited the IAL farm fields. Also, NBT reviewed compliance with the local labor laws and international IFC PS2 / EBRD PR2 requirements.
Based on the assessment, the NBT team is preparing a report with recommendations for IAL management to improve working conditions and ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations. We hope these recommendations will contribute to a safer and more equitable work environment for all IAL employees.
