• Elbek Shakirov (Institute of Geological Sciences, IELTS 6.5) became a Junior Environmental Specialist after an internship on the EBRD Methane Emissions project.
• Fotima Zokirova (Bologna and Lodz Universities) saw how theoretical projects are brought to life, and linked her Master’s thesis on water resource management with the experience of NBT Group.
However, the company works not only with students. For practicing specialists, NBT Group, together with partners from Saint Petersburg, conducted the first-ever courses in Uzbekistan on environmental modeling. Listeners mastered calculations of air and water pollution, bioindication methods, and acoustic calculations. The outcome: new competencies, certificates, and readiness to implement knowledge in real projects.
Consulting at NBT Group is always about practice. For example, in Bishkek, the team trained employees of Aiyl Bank on implementing an environmental and social management system. In Osh, it conducted trainings on safeguard measures for Asian Development Bank projects.
